A Moody Picture to Convey Sadness

Matt Simmons, as you have probably heard by now, died at his home on North Haven Sunday, August 8. We thank him for his visionary renovation of the Strand Cinema, which was part of the beginning of the revitalization of Main Street, and which kicked off a whole new pride in our town. He believed in this theatre, and what a community center like a theatre could do for a little city.

His dream was the Ocean Energy Institute, and you can read about all that in many many newspapers. I just want to say, thank you, Matt, for the Strand, if you can hear me wherever you are.
